Colleen Benefield
Often times the most obvious fruit is what God reveals to me through the work, time, and energy I put into my ministry role.
Since 2014, Colleen Benefield has volunteered as a coordinator and teacher of women’s Bible studies at Grace Covenant Church in Austin, Texas. This role entails close coordination with the women’s ministry director and leadership team on matters of vision casting, curriculum decisions and calendars, shepherding small group leaders. She helps to ensure the Bible study teaching is of excellent quality, glorifies God and calls women to a deepened relationship with Christ and with each other. Colleen also serves on the vision and planning team of adult discipleship ministry and is a director, along with her husband, for the Young Families Community on Sunday mornings.
My prayer is that God will use any leadership opportunities He gives me to advance the gospel in my own heart, replacing misplaced self-worth and fleshly values of achievement with eternal kingdom values of loving others well.
I hope that a woman who comes to our church looking for truth and for community will find it in spades, and that God smiles at what He sees happening in the women’s ministry at Grace. If I can play any small part in that equation, then to God be the glory.
